Happy Retirement Amma

Amma with her mementoπ |
Amma is retiring after 42 years of continuous service...!!!And that's huge... Isn't it?
To start working as a teenager and continue till you turn 60... Huge respect for her... She had all the reasons to give up, but she didn't. She can't. She is the one who doesn't have the word 'Rest' in her dictionary. And now, after her retirement, I am sure she will be busier than she was. She will open all the to-do lists that she was not able to do because of her job. But I want to add that even with a full-time job and a family to take care of, she managed to fit in many more things in her schedule... She learned Hindi, Astrology, Yoga, Tailoring, Diploma in EE, Driving and whatnot.... And that too, not for namesake... Whatever skills she learned; nothing has gone in vain. She is that superwoman that we all have heard about in stories and movies... Besides, she never had it easy...!!!
She is our own Iron Lady-The one who fought the world for her family...
Oh, the things you had to go through...
When Acha met with the accident, we never thought our lives would be the same ever again. But she made sure it didn't affect us, especially our studies. She didn't know how to drive back then, but when the situation demanded it, she was the one who drove Acha all the way from Kochi to Trivandrum for his surgery, all by herself. Who can do all these... Maybe God wanted to bring out all the potential that she has. Hence, he kept on pushing her with events after events. I would have crumbled into pieces long before...
But she fought and fought and fought... She is a true warrior.
Someone who never runs away from reality... She will face everything with her head held high. And she will surely overcome whatever comes her way-no doubt about it.

I wish one day I would at least be half as courageous as you are, half as resilient and hardworking as you are... And as long as I am wishing, I also wish I was as smart and beautiful as you are...π
Kudos to the most courageous and beautiful woman in my life.πππ
And for her retirement, I have only one wish: that she learns to take some rest...To understand that to take some rest is not to rust... Sit back and enjoy it for once.
With lots of love and respect
Geethu
